BACH 2 ROCK - CARYN LIN This program presents the simplicity of the solo acoustic violin and its origins demonstrated by performing a simple Bach minuet. Whisked into present day, Caryn uses the five string electric violin, sound effects, her voice, & percussion instruments to transcend that "solo" sound by doing what is called "looping." She creates sound loops live that are added to and embellished, playing in essence live duos, trios, and more, with herself. Bruce, her sound technician, demonstrates and loops electronic drums and electric guitar.  This three dimensional sound magic is performed right before your eyes through a full professional sound system. Audiences of ALL ages are captivated. A (Fun) large screen power point presentation accents the show. Caryn also tells two anti-bullying, inspirational, motivational stories. MEET THE MUSICIANS is a one hour dramatic presentation of storytelling and music by brilliant pianist Dennis Kobray who becomes Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Brahms, a friend of Scott Joplin, Stephen Foster or George Gershwin. Children discover the feelings, music, life, and history of some of the world's most famous composers. THE NJ SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA - CINDERELLA Three gifted musicians from the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra's REACH program and a narrator weave together storytelling and classical music in this retelling of the beloved fairytale, bring­ing the action and emotion to life! NEW ORLEANS DIXIELAND BAND Six dynamic musicians trace the origins of tap-your-feet, clap-your-hands and grin-on-your-face Dixieland music. They perform on traditional Dixieland instruments (trumpet, clarinet, tuba, banjo, trombone and drums) and focus on the role of each instrument in the ensemble. SQUEAKY CLEAN PRESENTS LIVE ROCK AND ROLL WITH MULTIMEDIA HISTORY  offers rock and roll from the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s performed by an exciting musical trio. Electric bass guitar, upright bass, electric guitar and drums are featured, complemented by a six by nine foot screen with computer presentation of photos,  videos, animations and sounds, bringing each decade alive. YARINA is the winner of the 2005  Best World Music Recording” at the Native American Music Awards and the Best Folk Music Recording” at the 2005 Indian Summer Music Awards. This group of brothers and sisters have dedicated their careers to the preservation of indigenous identity through music, dance and poetry. Five musicians dressed in native costumes perform traditional and original music of the “Andes” of South America, which includes songs from Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, and Chile.The accompanying dance performance features two dancers dressed in traditional costumes representing the different cultures and regions in Ecuador. The performance also includes short lectures in between songs about the history of indigenous peoples of Ecuador and the traditional instruments used in the performance.
