Music Technology with Brent Daniels |
This
hugely successful assembly will capture the attention of everyone that
attends! You will be amazed at the way in which Brent relates to students
and the ease with which he can bring out the musician in everyone. Student
volunteers have the opportunity to participate in the program by being part of on-the-spot
sound creation and composition that will have the whole place hopping! With a
strong emphasis on the importance of education in ALL subjects, Brent Daniels
demonstrates to students how music is produced in the entertainment industry
today through computers and technology. This program includes a live
sound recording with several audience participants. Using these recordings,
students hear how their sounds can be manipulated, then transformed into a live
song right on the spot! Brent’s music has been featured in many video games,

Peace Mural Residency with Jennifer Levine
|
In this residency students explore collaborative art and
music making under the direction of visual artist Jennifer Levine and singer
songwriter Scott Massarsky. Participants have the opportunity to imagine,
discuss and write how their thoughts, actions and words can create a more
peaceful world. Together students provide inspiration for an original musical
composition as well as design, sketch and paint a mural celebrating peace. This
multi-sensory residency engages auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. The
final product offers the school an original song and a permanent piece of art
that declares loudly and proudly that the school values peace and safety for
all inside and all who enter. Murals are executed directly onto the wall
or on canvas for portability. Jennifer

The Rejuvenary River Circus
|
This
Circus is an allegorical tale featuring gorgeous masks and puppet
characters, a bio-morphic set design and live original music. The
story follows Malakai, the River messenger and water carrier who travels
between Mountain Peaks and the Deep Blue Sea. Along his journeys Malakai
encounters a host of creatures, including a lyrical sea turtle, a fast-talking
crow, a pair of industrious beavers, beds of filter-feeding oysters, and schools
of migrating fish. Each animal offers insights into their particular role in a
watershed’s ecosystem services. When the old man falls ill his granddaughter Rachel
must rise to the challenge and help restore her grandfather, the River, back to
health. This program runs one hour in length and is ideally suited for
family audiences, arts-in-education
settings and watershed celebrations. It can be presented on a stage, a large room
or outdoors. Arm
